Ghosted

Everything started with the dreams where Isaiah would visit and ended in paranoia when I fled from my night job where we met.
That was the night everything began to unravel or maybe even align. I should say.
Isaiah and I were now states apart.
That’s when the hallucinations began.
I was with Isaiah again.
The delusions set in and I believed escape from this new madness was me and my lover’s new plan.
Anyway, his body and mind were with another woman while his spirit was in the psych ward with me.
Isaiah told me to take my medicine.
So I tried taking all of my pills instead.
Dark echoes stirred with and without my brain.

I was truly beheaded.
So there I was spending quality time behind the tranquil walls of East-5 when I got Isaiah’s call.
I expected to see him every day but then one day I realized that it was fall.
Here I was with who seemed to be my boo except he seemed to be without his host.
How insane it is to grieve when you half believe your flesh and blood lover has died but you can clearly see on social media that he’s living his best life. Phasing in and out of my phantasmic reality.

I hear voices on the inside, some down way deep, waiting to talk to me.
Medication, prayer and yoga have worked wonders for my anxiety, depression and PTSD.
Perhaps I am this entity’s new host.
However my shady paramour may seem, I hope he is living the mortal life of his dreams, because his immortal soul has been residing with me.
